A Weekend with Photographer Joe DiMaggio
Say it ain't so, Joe. It is !! A weekend with Joe DiMaggio.
I'm talking about world famous photographer Joe DiMaggio, noted among other things for his award winning Sports Illustrated cover in 1981 of the Larry Holmes - Jerry Cooney fight.
While, as a sports photographer, Joe has photographed professional boxing and boxers, pro racing, the Olympics, captured the iconic picture of the late Joe Paterno for Time Magazine in 2002, and, more recently has produced a video, "In This Corner", on the fighters at Gleason's Gym (http://vimeo.com/9585686), he is perhaps best known in the New York Metro area for his always sold out Photowalks with Adorama Camera and his workshops at the DiMaggio/Kalish Workshops (https://dimaggio-kalishworkshops.com/Home_Page.html).
I've had some great times - and great opportunities- photographing with Joe on his photowalks, and the shooting session at Gleason's gym was perhaps my favorite.
With the help of Westchester-based photographer Ann Raine (http://annrainephotography.com), a colleague in the Westchester Photographic Society (WPSPhoto.org), we've managed to put together a Friday evening lecture and a Saturday workshop with Joe DiMaggio. Scheduled for Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, this special weekend with Joe is sure to sell out. Joe is limiting us to no more than 20 participants. For more information on this private workshop, please see (https://dimaggio-kalishworkshops.com/June_30_Private_Workshop.html), or contact me.
